ThinkPads are Lenovo's business laptops, known for their keyboards, TrackPoint and spill-resistant designs. Most have replaceable SSDs and batteries, and parts stay available for years. A more repair-friendly T-series generation with modular USB-C ports and an easier-to-replace keyboard.
Common ThinkPad repairs
- Keyboard replacement
- Screen
- Battery
- Charging
- SSD and data migration
Screen replacement
Cracked glass, lines across the picture or a black screen with sound still working: we replace the display panel on the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 and test it fully before handing it back. If the fault is the display cable or backlight, we fix that instead of fitting a whole new screen.
Liquid spills
Turn the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 off straight away, unplug it and don't try to turn it back on. The sooner we can open it, clean the board and replace corroded parts, the better the chance of saving it. Liquid-damage repairs are outside our warranty, but any new parts we fit are covered for 90 days.
Keyboard and touchpad
Sticky, dead or repeating keys and an unresponsive touchpad are common after spills or heavy use. On the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 we replace the keyboard or touchpad, and check the ribbon cables at the same time.
