Virus and slow-running problems
Pop-ups, slow start-up and strange behaviour on a Vaio SVE Series are often caused by years of accumulated software and malware. We remove it, clean up start-up programs and, if needed, reinstall Windows with your files backed up first.
Overheating and fan noise
After many years, dust packs into the fan and heatsink of a Vaio SVE Series, and the thermal paste dries out. The result is a loud fan, sudden shut-downs and slow performance. A strip-down clean with fresh thermal paste usually fixes it.
Screen and backlight faults
A dim, flickering or dark screen on the Vaio SVE Series isn't always a dead panel. On older Vaios the backlight (CCFL tube and inverter on earlier models, LED on later ones) or the display cable is a common culprit, and we test those before suggesting a new screen.
Is it worth repairing?
