In 2025 Dell replaced the Inspiron name with simple 'Dell 14/16' and 'Dell Plus' models for home users. They share Inspiron-style construction, with replaceable SSDs on most configurations. The 16-inch successor to the Inspiron 16 Plus under Dell's new naming.

Liquid spills
Turn the Dell 16 Plus off straight away, unplug it and don't try to turn it back on. The sooner we can open it, clean the board and replace corroded parts, the better the chance of saving it. Liquid-damage repairs are outside our warranty, but any new parts we fit are covered for 90 days.
Won't turn on: board-level repair
No lights, no fans, nothing: on the Dell 16 Plus, this is often a single failed component on the motherboard. We diagnose power faults at component level and repair the board rather than replacing it, which is usually much cheaper.
Battery swelling and battery life
Lithium batteries wear out and can swell, lifting the touchpad or bending the base. If your Dell 16 Plus has a bulging case or a touchpad that won't click, stop using it on charge and bring it in: we replace the battery and check nothing else was damaged.
